Fixing trommel wear plates

The customer's trommel was wearing the impact plate at the inlet side, which indicated that there were holes in the plate. These plates are fully welded in and they did not want to keep cutting and welding new plates. To overcome, we rolled 10mm thick hardox plates to the radius of the trommel and these were then mag-drilled through the framework and secured with countersunk bolts.

The outcome is that these plates are now a wear part that can easily be removed and swapped out for new.
