Replacement of worn bearing on trommel thrust wheel

This customer called us to say there was a terrible noise coming from the trommel.

Our investigation identified that the thrust wheel bearing had collapsed. We proceeded to jack the trommel off the idle and drive wheelset using a 30 tonne hydraulic enerpac. Once on the floor we removed the thrust wheel unit, stripped down the thrust wheel and fitted a new taper lock bearing, repacked with grease and reinstalled to full working order.
