Drive drum replacement due to snapped end plate

We received a call after the main in-feed conveyor broke down in the middle of the night. We were called in to find that the drum end plate had broken and the weld to the shaft and was rattling around. We removed the motor/gearbox and the drum with the use of a telescopic handler.After replacing the drum we reinstalled the motor/gearbox along with 2 new bearings and the plant was back in operation within a few hours.
